Campaigns that have an on-line giving page to take sponsorship
or donations for a particular event, are found to be very successful in fund-raising.
Many of our local charities are registered on the popular on-line giving sites. If your charity is already registered, then you can set-up your own page for the Slough Together Walk. This can be done for individual walkers, or for the team that is walking together for the charity. Then you can send the link to your fund-raising page to your friends and family and ask them to sponsor you online.
We have found this a very productive and reliable way to keep track of the money donated and to ensure that it arrives safely and directly to your charity.
Here are a few of the not-for-profit sites to search for your charity.
If you cannot find your charity registered, then contact them and suggest they register, so you can fund-raise for them online. We do not recommend a particular fundraising site, as that should be your charity's choice.
Once you have found a donations website, and set-up your own page, you can ask your friends for their support and start fundraising on-line. The giving website will handle collecting the donations for you and pass the funds straight to your charity.
If you prefer to have a sponsorship form on paper you can print one from the Sponsorship page.
